yume 1 chapter 9.2: stay

Her question was answered when Aiba soon pulled over in the parking lot of one of the tall buildings in Tokyo.
Jamie opened the cardoor and hurriedly got off of Sho. The rapper was explaining something to his bandmate
as the tall girl walked away from them, still slightly limping.  Aiba gave a cry when he noticed her, pointing
it out to Sho.  The Keio boy turned and saw what the younger man got upset about.  Quickly getting out of the
sports car and running after her.  She didn't look back.. Her mind was racing, I must get home.  I must get back
to the airport.  The paparazzi must have gone by now.
"Jamie-chan," the Keio boy cried as the caught her arm.  The girl stopped and cursed under her breath, not
wanting to turn around to face him.

His grip on her arm loosened as he asked her,"Where do you think you're going?"
"I have a plane to catch ne.  I'm going to look for a taxi or a bus." The girl said trying not to look at him.  Sho's
face fell, he thought he had her already when she didn't get pushed away in the airport and wehen she agreed
to sit on his lap.  She was trying to move away again when her keitai rang, his rap for 'Kimi ga Iinda' loudly
echoing in the parking lot.  Jamie glanced up at Sho who was smirking down at her flushed face.  She does like me, he thought.
"Hai?" Jamie reached for her keitai in her skirt's pocket and answered it, her facial expression changing from
fidgety to disbelief to resignation. He found her expressions very cute and endearing, he wanted to reach out
and touch her troubled face.  He wanted to take care of her for as long as he can.  He just hoped he would let him.
A few moments later she hung up and sighed.  Sho wondered what was wrong, when she just turned and started
walking away from her again.  He walked in front of her and stopped her from going any further. 
"What's wrong?" His hands rested on both her shoulders and met her eyes.  She was about to cry, he noticed.
"My flight is cancelled.  There's a typhoon in Manila.  I'm worried about my mama," She explained then trued to turn away again," Shitsurei shimasu."
"No, let me drive you.  Its hard to get a taxi around in this area." He led her back towards the car explaining the
situation to Aiba, who just nodded and handed his keys over to his older bandmate, "I'll be back, I'll just drop her
off at her cousin's."
"Kiotsukete," Aiba smiled and waived as the car pulled away, Aiba had a lot of explaining to do obviously. 

Sho nosed the car onto the main road and turned left.  He glanced at Jamie's expression, it was blank and she just
stared down at her hands folded on her lap.  She felt uneasy after all that had happend in the past twenty-four hours
 and now she's in Aiba Masaki's sportscar and being driven to her cousin's place by Sakurai Sho.  She was blushing all over again when she noticed that they were driving near the bay.  She smiled absently at the waves lapping at the
shore.  She missed going to the beach and just letting the water surround her and make her comforted.  Her smile
didn't go unnoticed by the rapper, he wanted to see her smile again and drove them to a cove near the main road and
parked there.  He then turned to the girl beside her, who went back to staring at her hands. 
"W-why are we here?" she asked barely audible to Sho.
"I need to talk to you,"he said, his tone pleading,"What was all that about?  I mean, why do you keep pushing me away?
Don't you like me?  I mean, you seem to like my rap but what about me as a person?  You said you were going to call
me when you've thought things out.  But it seems that you're just going to leave me hanging"
"I~i..." she started," sumimasen."
He was obviously frustrated and hurt at how he was being treated.  Jamie felt really bad for doing it but now she just had to explain her side.  After what seemed like a long five minutes, she cleared her throat.
"A-anou~ sumimasen, Sakurai-dono." She fidgeted with the hem of her skirt.  Sho chuckled as he could just imagine her at age five, being reprimanded for something wrong she had done.
"Mou...you're laughing at me.." her face now in scowl, she was about to get out of the car when Sho caught her arm.
"Sumimasen," he was still smiling as he touched her face.  She reddened at his touch again. Why does he keep doing this?
Asking her things impossible for her to answer. 
"You're shaking," he noticed, the concern on his face evident.  She was a bag of nerves beside him.  She just wanted to disappear on the spot.
"D-daijoubu," she answered, getting out of the car and leaning on the door and hugging herself.  She hadn't noticed that he had followed her.  Walked around the car and was now beside her, leaning on the car door as well.
"Are you sure you're alright?" the Keio boy leaned closer and put a hand on her forehead," you look feverish ne"
"I-i'm alright...let me explain myself now," she said then after a deep breath," I'm sorry if I was going to leave without a word.  I just did what I thought was best for everyone.  I didn't mean to be rude or anything but Kathy is my friend and she likes you a lot.  She's a better choice for a girlfriend if you ask me.  I mean, she graduated from TouDai and her father is the assistant of the Minister of Defense.  She's really very pretty and I'm nothing compared to her.  I only went to college for a month, my family is...is... oh never mind..  And I'm the weirdest person I can think of.  Plus, I'm so not your type i know that.
I mean all we'd do is argue and you'd just get irritated at me like all the other guys I went out with."
"Who in the world told you all that crap about yourself?" He asked a bit amazed that she could talk non-stop like that.
"Well......." She couldn't think of anyone who told her that.  She just felt that way about herself.  She was, in a way, telling him he's making a mistake.  A huge mistake of going after her.  Sho on the other hand wanted an answer to his question.  He felt it in her kiss this morning and her blushes must mean something.  He wanted to hear it from her, he wanted to make sure that he wasn't being made a fool.
"Well?  At least answer my question, what am I to you?" Sho asked.  He was wearing his heart out on his sleeve again.  He should have been wary.  But she just crept up and stole his heart without him realizing it.  This insecure girl, who was really confident and smart and very pretty and had very cute mannerisms.  When Jamie heard those words, she squeezed her eyes shut and muttered to herself " Yabai"
"Eh?!" she nervously let out, her head looked away from him.  Sho's hand lifted her chin up to meet his gaze
