Freestyle Love

Annie had saved up enought money to get to Japan for one whole week.  She filed her vacation leave once she haerd about the exhibition in Omodesanto Hills.  It was a miracle that Jamie-chan was able to join her and even got them a place to saty for free.

"Annie...are you up yet?" Jamie tapped on her friend's shoulder as Arashi's song, Blue began.  Nino's voice was dreamily filling the air, followed by Satoshi's rich voice.  Jamie knew that it was the only song that could wake her friend up in the morning for some weird reason.

"Huh..?" Annie stirred nad groggily got up , "O-ohayou..."

"Ohayou gozaimasu, Annie-chan!", she smothers her friend with a big hug.

"Ne, Jamie-chan, you're overly excited ne"

"Its our first day in Tokyo, Annie!!"

"Mah..mah..don't strangle me please.." she giggled.

"Ah...gomen ne..." lets go of her, "haiyaku ne...we'll be late for the exhibit!!"

"Hai..."Annie repleid as Jamie bounced out of the room and down the stairs.  It was really a dream come true for her to see Ohno Satoshi's work up close.  Being the artist that she is, it meant a lot to her.  She wished Nana could come too.  But Nana, has her thesis to finish and as they always said..."School/Work first comes first before fangirling".  so she had no choice but to back out.

Breakfast, as well as the trip to Omodesanto hills, had been a blur compared to the events that followed.  The line to the exhibition was really long and they learned that they were only going to be let in by batches.  It seems like they were going to be in the fifth batch.  Jamie, being the crazy and agressive person she is, pulled Annie by the arm.

"Where are we going?" Annie asked, "we might miss our batch..."

"Sssshhhh...not so loud, Annie...", her friend tried to get her to walk faster towards the side of the building.

"Where are we going?", the puzzled girl hissed at her curly-haired friend.  Jamie stopped at the chain-linked fence and pushed the gate.  It hadn't been secured properly apparently, and Jamie being the ever curious girl wandered and found it ajar.  They crept in and made their way into the exhibition hall without any hitches. 

Inside the hall, Annie and Jamie marveled at the artpieces.  Annie was examining a particular piece as Jamie wandered to the paintings near a side door when it suddenly opened and the tall girl was taken by surprise by Satoshi and Sho.  Annie heard the familiar voices and turned slowly to see what was happening.  Jamie was explaining to Sho what on earth they were doing inside as Sho was interpreting it to the Satoshi and the camera crew they were with.  Sho was supposed to cover the exhibit for News Zero.  Jamie kept apologizing as Annie froze at the sight of Satoshi coming towards her and asked her in Nihongo what she thought of his workd.

"Its wonderful" she found herseft saying in japanese after what seemed forever.

"Really?  Ihope so, I want to make people happy with my artwork.  And for my family to be proud of me."  Ohcahn said, "your friend said that you're an artist."

"H-h-hai", she managed to say, "I'm a graphics designer for video games"

"Really? Games? Uwah!! Sugoi!!  You should meet Nino-chan" he smiled broadly,"but would you have time though?"

"Hai, she has time," jamie chimed in as she was followed by Sho, "Annie!!  Sho asked me if we could join them tonight for a party to celebrate the exhibit."

Sho spoke to Ohcahn in Nihongo.  Annie understand part of it to tell She was merely translating what Jamie was saying.

"If you would please have time for us, we'll pick you up tonight..say..10pm?" Sho said in english. His smile very engaging.

"Hai.  Please join our party.  its nothing fancy just karaoke with the rest of the guys,"Ohno said, "Annie-san, onegaishimasu."

"Onegaishimasu" the two bowed slightly

"Who am i to refuse?" Annie said.

"Great!!,"Jamie tapped Sho's shoulder and motioned, "we're going with you two later"

At that email addresses and mobile numbers were exchanged and they were asked to step aside as the News Zero team set-up and filmed for sho's report the next night.  Soon the boys bade goodbye and the girls bought their freestyle goods and went home happy.

It was really something to be invited by Arashi to karaoke but Annie didn't keep her hopes up.  Jamie had the same sentiments but they dressed up a bit all the same.

"Annie if they don't show up, let's  just go out anyway" Jamie smiled, trying to keep genki.

"Hai," Annie nodded.  At htat point, the doorbell rang and Jamie's cousin called them fron downstairs,"Jamie-chan, you have company"

The two girls' eyes lit up and stifled their shrieks of joy.  Trying to compose themselves before proceeding downstairs.  They found them sitting on the sofa being interrogated by Jamie's nephew about the Jimousho.  Jamie was for once in a dress.  A maroon one that she hardly ever wore with black boots to match the piping on the knee-length dress.  Annie was in a pretty sapphire blue dress and white calf boots.  The boys got up and greetings were exchanged as well as last minute reminders to the girls.  They left in Sho's white Toyota, Jamie sat in front with Sho as they were disputing on politics, environmental issues and all that boring stuff.  Satoshi and Annie sat at the back of the car.

"Ne Annie-san, you said that you're an artist deshou?" Satoshi started.

"Yes," Annie smiled.

"Do you paint too?" Ohchan asked, looking into her eyes.

"Yes, I use acrylic," she answered feeling a bit giddy with his gaze, "I also sketch and sculpt"

"Really?"

"Really!"

"You're talented ne.  Did you bring any of your work with you?"

"Not really, I left most of them at home back in our country but I do have pictures here in my phone"

"May i please see them?" Satoshi asked.

"Douzo," she opened the file in her mobile and they beth pored over them.  Their head close.  Annie could smell his Burberry cologne and it made her heart flutter.  Satoshi was saying something  while looking at her, his face near hers.  she turned to look at him and for a split second their lips touched.  An electric shock went through her body, dropping her keitai and looked away.

"Sumimasen" , they both said at the same time and started laughing.  Jamie turned from her debate with Sho one the use of ethanol as gasoline, "Ne you two alright back there?!"

"Yeah, we're fine.", Annie giggled.  Then the van halted in the middle of nowhere.  Sho couldn't fix it and when they triend theri keitai none of them were working.  There was no signal anywhere.

"I think we're over a blind spot,"Jamie said.

"I was about to say that", Sho smiled at her.

"Well lets just make the most out of the clear night sky...I love star-gazing" the curly-haired girl said.

"I have a big tatami in the trunk, we could lie on that" Sho suggested.

"Uwah!! Amazing!", Annie cried.

"Is that the same one we used for the picnic?" Satoshi asked

"Hai" Sho answered

They foun a good spot near in a nearby field just off the orad and laid the tatami.  The girls beside each other and the guys at each end.  Sho pointed out the constellations to Jamie.  She sneezed and Sho pulled her closer.  Ohno and Annie talked about how he would love to go out fishing with her or just paint with her.  Annie just smiled up at him as he told her how he caught his first fish.  She was dozing off and he pulled her into his arms.  annie wasn't sure but before she closed her eyes, she thought she heard, "Suki daiyo Annie-chan."
